    Understanding EVA Hardness
    Dec 02, 2024
EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) is a highly versatile material used across many industries, such as footwear, sports equipment, and packaging. One of its most important features is its hardness, which plays a crucial role in determining its performance and suitability for different uses. In this article, we'll focus on the hardness range of EVA and its impact.   Understanding EVA Hardness EVA comes in a broad range of hardness levels, usually measured on the Shore hardness scale. This scale measures the hardness of EVA materials, with lower Shore values representing softer materials and higher values indicating harder ones. EVA hardness can range from very soft (Shore 20) to very hard (Shore 90), providing a wide range of options for manufacturers and industries.       EVA Case Applications In packaging and industrial applications, EVA foam of different hardness levels is used for shock absorption, vibration damping, and protective cushioning. Softer EVA foam is ideal for packaging and cushioning delicate items, while harder EVA foam is used for providing structural support in industrial applications like gaskets, seals, and insulation. The wide range of hardness in EVA makes it a flexible material that can be tailored to suit many different purposes.  Our primary hardness for shell applications is Shore 75, ensuring optimal protection.   If you have any questions or are interested in our products, feel free to reach out to us for advice.
